CPR and AED

Our CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and AED (Automated external defibrillation) teaches the principles of basic life support for adults, children, and infants. It gives you the latest guidelines for CPR and emergency cardiac care, starting with how to assess the scene of an emergency and take stock of the victim's condition. The course details how to perform one rescuer CPR and rescue breathing, and how to manage choking in a conscious person (Heimlick Maneuver). Prevention and initial care for Cardiac Emergencies; including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, Automated External Defibrillation, Angina Pectoris, Stroke, and Foreign Body Airway Obstruction.

Basic First Aid

Prevention and initial care for Emergency Moving of Injured Patients, Wounds/Bleeding, Traumatic Shock, Musculoskeletal Injuries, Burns, Eye Injuries, Drowning, Allergic Emergency (Anaphylaxis), Asthma, Fainting and Diabetic Emergencies, Drug Overdose, Poisoning, Seizures, Temperature Related Problems, Insect Stings/Bites, Spider Bites, Venomous Snake Bites, Dental Injuries and Suspension Trauma (Orthostatic Intolerance). It also addresses infection control.

Coyne Basic Life Support / First Aid Training Program Provides...

A basic education in the fundamentals of both BLS and First Aid while following the same priorities of care as the advanced courses.

The lay person to quickly and completely perform basic life support skills, treat minor injuries, and protect and support a patient with serious medical problems until the arrival of more qualified, professional help.

The Coyne BLS / First Aid Training Program has been officially accepted for more than 20 years by the U.S. Department of Labor - Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Mine Safety and Health Administration.

The Coyne BLS / First Aid Training Program has also been approved and/or accepted by:

Our instructors are certified by Coyne First Aid to provide the training courses.

This class is $90 and it is given every Friday at 10:00 am.
